Tokayev met with famous Kazakh archaeologist

During the meeting, the Head of State was informed about some of the problematic issues of Kazakhstani science, recent scientific discoveries, archaeological research, as well as personnel training activities.

Zeynolla Samashev told Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the excavation of sites in East Kazakhstan region timed to the early Saka period, the results of archaeological research of the Berelsky Kurgan and cooperation with foreign scientists.

Having emphasized the importance of historical research, the Head of State noted the need to include new sources discovered by domestic archaeologists in recent years in the chronicle of the history of ancient and medieval Kazakhstan.
